Cure for Monday Blues

Last night our friend/singer/songwriter from L.A., Andy Frasco, dropped into town on his 60 day tour across the country. 40 shows in 60 days. This kid is workin' it. He brought us over to Lakeview to a tiny, dingy venue called Elbo Room and rocked his heart out in front of millions of adoring fans! (ok, maybe a million is a bit exaggerated.) Check out his newest album, Growth and Progress, designed by my fabulous and talented husband, Josh Kenyon and his design partner Colby Nichols- both the masterminds behind Jolby.

Such a cutie!

Andy did great with all his energy and his soulful voice lingering over the club. But also haunting and surprising was the appearance of this amazing independent band called Mike Droho and the Compass Rose. This band, complete with and upright bass, violinist, acoustic guitar and LIVE beat boxer (instead of a drummer), doesn't even have a definition for their own genre. They grasped the audience by their throats with the unique sound and astonishing stage presence and never let go through the entire set! Gotta tell you my neck sure hurts! Look out for these ones guys, and I'll be there to tell you "I told you so" when Andy Frasco, Mike Droho and his crew are world famous!

I wanted to post a video but I can't figure it out, you'll have to go to the link to see it on their myspace... I'm still feeling out this whole blogging thing. Ash, any hints?

sweet! Love the photo, and Jolby did a great job! It looks awesome!

Videos: Don't use the blogger video thing, it sucks. Go to http://vimeo.com and upload your video and it'll give you html text to paste in your blog. You could also do youtube or flickr started to do video now too if you have a flickr account.

Also, depending on your camera you may need to export it into a different format so it isn't CRAZY huge! You can do this really easy in imovie, ask josh.
