Eat My Bento Box

Last night was our good friend Paul Degrassi's bday and we celebrated at a charming little hipster bar, Happy Village. Happy 29 dude! You are tots rad!

I had a conversation with fellow wifey and all-around-adorable "lifeinthecrotch" fan (jk), Melissa, and she turned me onto this crazy japanese way of packing lunches. Bento Boxes are japanese packed lunches that not only require looking cute but also include complimentary flavors. Often times, housewives compete for who makes the best bento box when the kids bring their lunches to school. The more creative and appealing the more pride, and food is usually made in tiny perfectly arranged containers and/or modeled after animals. Sort of like MY LUNCH CAN BEAT UP YOUR LUNCH!

So that got me thinking, Melissa Denowitz, I challenge you to a bento-box-wife-off! Should you choose to accept the challenge, Monday morning we rise early and send our husbands packing with the cutest, most perfectly arranged, nutritious, delicious lunch! Paul can judge, as long as he keeps any bias out. wink wink!

Eat my bento box!

Do you play with your food? Wanna join in on the bento box wife off? Show me what you got!
